Donate Your Archives

Your story is important. You don’t have to be a leader or activist for your story to be part of queer history. All LGBTQ+ people who live or have lived in East Tennessee have an important piece of history to tell. We’d love to record your story and preserve your artifacts for the future. Types of items included in the archive are:

  • Photos, Videos, Scrapbooks, Zines

  • Social Media, Websites, Email, Memes

  • Letters, Documents, Journals, Diaries

  • Flyers, Posters, Banners, Pamphlets, Newspapers

  • Shirts, Gowns, Buttons, Hats, Costumes

  • Organizational Records and Correspondence

Tell Your Story

We want to hear your story. You don’t have to be a community leader or activist for your story to be important. If you’re a member of the LGBTQ+ Community and live (or have lived) in East Tennessee, we would love to record your story.

  • We can conduct an oral history interview with you

  • Or, you can record your own interview

  • Don’t want to be recorded? You can write out your story

  • Donate papers, photos, videos, etc. along with your story

  • You set your own terms for when and where your story is available
